Anavi Sharma (she/her), LSW, is a Licensed Social Worker who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and adults through a collaborative, strengths-based approach. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University, following a clinical concentration. Anavi also completed a certificate program in Promoting Child and Adolescent Well-Being.
In her current role, Anavi works with clients across the lifespan who are navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, life transitions, and relationship concerns. She leads both the High School DBT program and the College Compass program, which support adolescents and young adults in building coping skills, navigating identity development, and managing stress during major transitions.
Anavi believes that healing happens in connection and is committed to building strong, trusting relationships with every client. She draws from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help individuals of all ages develop emotional regulation skills, improve communication, and move toward meaningful goals.
Before transitioning into full-time private practice, Anavi worked in schools as a caseworker, supporting students and families with social-emotional and behavioral needs. She continues to advocate for her younger clients by collaborating with educators, attending IEP/504 meetings, and guiding families in accessing support services.
Whether working with elementary school students learning to name their feelings, college students navigating independence, young professionals managing anxiety, or parents seeking support, Anavi brings empathy, curiosity, and cultural humility to her work. She is honored to walk alongside clients of all ages as they build insight, resilience, and confidence in their journey forward.
