Erica (pronouns: she/her) is a Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (LAMFT) whose passion is providing affirming care to children, teens, families, couples, adults, and groups through a systemic therapy and social justice lens. She has experience working with clients of all ages, abilities, and identities who live with and manage the impacts of anxiety, neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, learning differences, etc.), depression, OCD, divorce & blended families, communication issues, conflict, trauma, perfectionism, affairs, and addictions.
With all clients, Erica utilizes an integrative treatment approach, pulling from various modalities like: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), solution-focused/narrative therapy, directive and non-directive play therapies, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and more. She is also specially trained to support LGBTQIA+ individuals, their identity development and exploration, and their relationships. For years, Erica has been facilitating the Middle School DBT Skills Group here at Mindsoother Therapy Center, and provides education, trainings, and workshops to parents and professionals in the community on how to better support LGBTQIA+ individuals and/or improve identity-affirming care provided.
Her practice is trauma-informed, client-centered, present-focused, and strengths-based. Erica's goal is to foster connection and curiosity, and to empower individuals to tap into their skills and resilience to forward desired changes in their lives. Together, she aims to create a safe, transparent, and collaborative environment with her clients, where their whole person can feel seen, heard, accepted, and validated, in order to not just heal, but thrive.
