Mariel is a Licensed Social Worker who enjoys working with adolescents, children, and families. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Otterbein University and her Master’s in Social Work at Rutgers University, with a Clinical Social Work concentration.
Mariel has experience working with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, along with many other disorders. She has experience working with children in both public and private schools ranging from preschool to high school as a School Social Worker and Child Study Team Social Worker.
During her recent tenure as a school social worker, Mariel has had the opportunity to work with kids and teens in a deep and meaningful way; providing consistent and safe feedback and interventions to students during the school day.
Mariel aims to provide a calm environment where clients feel safe and relaxed so they can meet their goals. She utilizes therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy to meet a client where they are.
